Olivia Mae is a 25 year old multidisciplinary artist based out of Bozeman, Montana. With a background in Fine Arts and a professional career in Graphic Design, Apparel, and Marketing, Olivia’s work serve as a meditation on what it is to create at the intersection of fine art and commerce. Her methodology, while based in traditional atelier training, also utilizes the psychology of marketing and consumer culture in order to create works that can feel at home on a billboard as well as a gallery wall, depending on what the situation calls for. She has lent her creative eye to projects as small as Indie musicians putting out their first EP, and as large as international retailers such as Eataly, Free People, and Anthropology.

Olivia graduated from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts in 2021 with a B.F.A. in Studio Arts. She is the recipient of both the Dana Pond, and the Will and Elena Barnette awards for excellence in painting. At present, she serves as the principle designer for the T-shirt company James Mae. Her time is spent doing freelance graphic design projects, working on painting commissions, and pursuing a professional certification in interior architecture from UCLA. On the rare occasion that she is not hunched over her desk, you can find her doing yoga, slowly working her way through the Russian novelists, or marathoning golden age Hollywood cinema.
